Saif Ali Khan stabbed in Mumbai home, admitted to hospital

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured during a robbery attempt at his Bandra West residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday (January 16, 2025). He will undergo surgery at Lilavati Hospital to treat the stab wounds, the hospital confirmed.

According to the Mumbai police, an unidentified person allegedly entered Saif’s residence at around 02.30. During the incident, Saif was reportedly injured in a confrontation involving a knife. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital for treatment.

Police officials said it is still unclear whether the actor was stabbed or injured during a physical altercation with the intruder.

Dr. Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said that Saif Ali Khan was brought in at 3.30. Dr. Uttamani said Saif has six jabs, two of which are deep. One wound is close to his spine.

He is operated on by a team of doctors, including a neurosurgeon and a cosmetic surgeon.

Both the Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch are investigating the incident.
