NBA Live Discussion: Brooklyn Nets at Los Angeles Clippers, 10:30 p.m. ET

If it makes anything better, the Brooklyn Nets aren’t playing a team that tries to lose willingly. They lost an OT tanking party against the Jazz and followed that up with a win against the 13-win Trail Blazers on Tuesday night.

Game preview | Brian Fleurantin

Injuries: Nic Claxton missed yesterday’s game with a tight right hamstring. We’ll see if he’s back tonight. Night two of a back to back so we’ll see who sits. We certainly know Cam Thomas, Bojan Bogdanovic, Maxwell Lewis, Trendon Watford or DeAnthony Melton. And it’s likely that Ben Simmons will be on the bench as well. For the Clips, PJ Tucker is not on the team as they try to trade him elsewhere.

The game: It’s pretty great to see Kawhi Leonard back out there. Kawhi has had such terrible injury luck in his career and it’s always fun to see him out there. He and the team take theirs time getting him back up to speed, and with the condensed nature of the NBA season coupled with the playoff chase, is probably the best decision. Don’t want to push too hard out of the gates and risk another setback or two. Brooklyn won the rebounding game last night and they will have to bring their hard hats to the Intuit Dome tonight. Ivica Zubac is having an outstanding season, ranking fourth in the NBA in rebounding and shooting over 60% from the field even with a bigger role on offense. He’s especially tough on the offensive glass, and if the Nets aren’t careful, we’re going to see a whole lot of this tonight.
