Mario Kart 9: Every Character, Track and Vehicle Confirmed for the Nintendo Switch 2 Game

Nintendo has revealed the Nintendo Switch 2 and next to it Mario Kart 9. Although the details are still thin, an analysis of the short gameplay clip has confirmed the first characters, vehicles and tracks coming in the new game.

Only one track was shown in the trailer, but this will apparently be the first race in the first cup available in Mario Kart 9, or at least a very early one. It looks pretty simple, and as you can see from the banner hanging over the starting line, it’s simply called Mario Bros. Circuit.

This relatively common name is standard practice for the opening track in Mario Kart games, with Wii U turned Switch game Mario Kart 8 opening with Mario Kart Stadium, Mario Kart 7 opening with Toad Circuit, Mario Kart Wii opening with Luigi Circuit, and so on.

The track stands out for its incredible width at times, with a clip from the trailer showing what is essentially a four-lane highway for racers to drive along. This will likely compensate for an increase in drivers, with Mario Kart 9 looking set to cap it at a whopping 24 racers.
