Separate Baby has offered to pay for the celebration of 13-year-old Na’Ziyah Harris life. Na’Ziyah remains missing and authorities presume her dead after being last seen in Detroit, Michigan.

Skilla Baby demands justice for missing teenager Na’Ziyah Harris

CBS News reports that Na’Ziyah Harris disappeared after getting off her school bus on January 9, 2024. Annette Harris, her adoptive mother and biological grandmother, reported her missing that same day. According to Wayne CountyJarvis Butts, who dated Na’Ziyah’s aunt, is accused of having an inappropriate relationship with the teenager when text messages allegedly exchanged between them were presented at a preliminary hearing.

When Na’Ziyah’s story gained attention online, rapper Skilla Baby spoke out and demanded justice for her. On Wednesday, January 15, the Detroit emcee shared a photo of Na’Ziyah on Instagram and announced that he would cover the cost for the community to come together to honor her life.

“Wow #Justice4Naziyah And normally I would donate money to the family but from what I hear the whole family failed her… but I will cover the full cost so that we as a community can come together and celebrate Na’ziyah’s life.. .” wrote Skilla Baby .

According to CBS News, prosecutors have charged Jarvis Butts with first-degree premeditated murder, second-degree criminal sexual conduct and child sexual abuse. Butts faces trial for the murder of Na’Ziyah Harris. Judge Aliyah Sabree sent the case to the 3rd Circuit Court for trial, describing Butts as “the monster in this whole picture.”

“She (Na’Ziyah) deserved love from her parents and everyone who was in her life. She was ignored. She was neglected and you took full advantage of that. She wanted someone to love her and she will never know, how it feels. I pray for healing for all the victims and the young girls, and possibly boys, who have come into contact with you,” Judge Sabree said.

Prosecutors argued that the evidence, including testimony from one of Jarvis Butts’ business partners in November 2024, cell tower tracking data and an eyewitness who placed Butts with Na’Ziyah on the night she disappeared. In addition, several of Na’Ziyah’s belongings were reportedly found in areas visited by Butts after she disappeared. Authorities have also previously accused Butts of sexually abusing two other girls in separate cases.

Eight witnesses, who reportedly include Na’Ziyah’s grandmother and aunt, have testified. Na’Ziyah’s aunt, Shannon Harris, stated in her testimony that she never suspected anything inappropriate and believed that the relationship between Jarvis and Na’Ziyah was a typical uncle-niece bond.
