Will Ferrell and Harper Steele reunite for a road trip

Harper Steele remembers the exact moment fellow comedian Will Ferrell became her friend. It was in the mid-90s when the couple joined the cast and crew of the famous sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live. Steele was in the writers’ room sketching out largely unsuccessfully when an idea she had starring Ferrell finally seemed to make it to the live broadcast. The sketch, titled “Zipper Boots,” was about a guy obsessed with his shoes. It survived the criticism until this week’s dress rehearsal before it was cut.
