Jannik Sinner spoke to Jim Courier on the track after his win:

“First of all, I’m very happy to be in the next round. Every match has its own difficulties. I felt that today he was very solid at the back of the court as he served well, especially the first serve.

“I’m struggling a bit to come back. I still have room to improve, but every win is great, especially in these conditions.

“Thanks for the support, it’s great to play night sessions here and let’s see what comes next in the next round.”

On adding to his game:

“Today the percentage of my net game was not really good, but I’m trying to improve, sometimes I feel that certain things are a little bit better, sometimes a little bit worse, but that’s normal.

“Trying to stay there mentally, which is the most important aspect, but for sure, if I want to continue in this tournament, I have to improve. I have to raise my level, but I’m still very happy.”
