Lions vs. Commanders inactive: Teddy Bridgewater promoted to backup QB

The Detroit Lions have declared themselves inactive ahead of their divisional round playoff game against Washington’s commanders Saturday night at Ford Field. The only “surprise” of these inactives is that Teddy Bridgewater has been promoted to QB2 and Hendon Hooker will now serve as the Lions’ emergency third quarterback.

If you missed the move or need a refresher, be sure to check out ours updated depth chartwith position-by-position placements as well as a visual overview.

For this week’s game, because the Lions have eight offensive linemen active for Sunday’s game, they are eligible to expand their game-day roster from 47 to 48 players. Therefore, with 55 players on the game day roster and 48 eligible to play, the Lions must declare only seven players inactive for today’s matchup.
