Missouri Lottery player wins $50,000 with Scratchers ticket in Unionville

A Missouri Lottery player recently turned a trip to Casey’s, located at 2415 W. Main St. in Unionville, to win $50,000 by selecting the “$5,000,000 Fortune” Scratchers ticket.

The player explained that the decision was influenced by information on the Missouri Lottery app, which shows the number of remaining unclaimed prizes for each game. “I had looked at my phone and I saw that the game had a lot of big prizes left, so that’s the one I went with,” he said.

After purchasing the ticket, the player scratched it at home and was surprised to discover increasing prize amounts. “He was in the kitchen and I was in the living room and he kept running around telling me what he had won,” his wife recalled.

In total, the ticket revealed $50,000 in winnings. “He made me look at it to make sure he read it right,” she joked.

The “$5,000,000 Fortune” game, a $50 Scratchers ticket, has awarded over $68.9 million in prizes to date. Currently, more than $183.6 million in prizes remain unclaimed, including two top prizes of $5 million and three $1 million prizes.
