Manning brothers to compete in FanDuel’s Kick of Destiny 3 at Super Bowl Sunday

The Denver Broncos were knocked out of the playoffs last week by Buffalo Billsbut the great show must go on. The good news for us is that we’re getting some Peyton Manning action Super Bowl weekend and I can actually see – even if it’s the miserable one Kansas City Chiefs play again in that game.

FanDuel has started making this Kick of Destiny thing an annual Super Bowl pre-game ritual. They had Rob Gronkowski do it the last two years, but this year we got a special treat with both Peyton Manning and Eli Manning competing for the top prize.

What is Kick of Destiny 3?

The Manning brothers will compete in a head-to-head kicking contest live on Fox pre-game at the Super Bowl Sunday at 7 p.m. 13.00 MT.

Us normies can also participate by making the right choice on who we think will win via the FanDuel Sportsbook app. Those who pick correctly will share an equal share of the $10 million in bonus bets to be paid out the Monday after the Super Bowl. Elections can be made from now until 1 p.m. mountain time on Super Bowl Sunday.

This is how you play

  2. Make your FREE choice. Choose whether you think Peyton or Eli will win Kick of Destiny 3
  3. Win a share of $10,000,000 in bonus bets if you’ve made the right choice. Watch live Super Bowl Sunday on Fox to see the Mannings kick! Then check back on Monday to see how much you got!

Competition details

  • Peyton & Eli Manning will meet in a kicking contest
  • Each kicker will attempt a 25-yard kick
  • If the first kicker makes, the second kicker gets a chance to tie
  • If the first kicker misses, the second kicker gets a chance to win
  • If both kickers miss, they kick again until there is a winner
  • If there is no winner after 3 rounds, the kicker who kicked it closest to the center goal of the net in the last round wins the tiebreaker

My professional analysis

My gut tells me to go with Eli Manning here. Peyton has multiple neck surgeries and we all remember how well he moved and that was over a decade ago. Eli is the safe choice for the safe game, but the riskier it is, the greater the reward.

What if — and just follow me for a second here — Peyton’s giraffe life move is the perfect stability position for kicking a 25-yard field goal?

Straight ahead. Straight up. Straight in. Easy.

I think Peyton’s bionic neck might be in play here for some free bones on Monday after the Chiefs get blown out by Detroit Lions.
