When to Stream Ridley Scott’s ‘Gladiator 2’ on Paramount Plus

Paramount Plus will soon have a new offering to entertain streaming audiences: Ridley Scott’s long-awaited historical sequel Gladiator 2.

The follow-up to Scott’s Oscar-winning 2000 epic stars Paul Mescal as Lucius – the young boy in the first film who idolized Russell Crowe’s Maximus. Lucius’ mother Lucilla, who was Emperor Commodus’ sister in the original film, is played by returning actress Connie Nielsen. Set many years later in ancient Rome, Gladiator 2 sees Lucius “entering the Colosseum after his home has been conquered by the tyrannical emperors,” according to a official synopsis.
