FIRST WARNING FORECAST – Freezing forecast Wednesday and Thursday evening

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – A little warmer today, breaking 70 degrees. However, we’ll get a huge cooldown by Wednesday as a system swings down, allowing for rain and, yes, even snow.

Right now it looks like the snow level will drop to 2000′ in elevation late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. Given that most of Tucson’s elevation is in the 2300-2500′ range, we could see snow mixing in. The city is unlikely to see any accumulation, with a better chance to see snow to the south and east in the higher valleys in the 1-2″ range (eg Willcox, Sierra Vista).

Less chance of precipitation Thursday as it will be mostly reserved eastward near the New Mexico state line.

MONDAY: Mostly clear with a high of 72.

TUESDAY: Partly cloudy with a morning low of 40 & a high of 68. 40% rain/snow overnight.

WEDNESDAY: Scattered morning rain/snow to rain and windy with a morning low of 37 and a high of 53. 40% rain/snow

THURSDAY: Mostly clear with a morning low of 30 & a high of 55. 10% rain/snow

FRIDAY: Clear with a morning low of 32 and a high of 59.

SATURDAY: Clear with a morning low of 32 and a high of 62.

SUNDAY: Clear with a morning low of 33 and a high of 62.
