The Rams haven’t won a Monday night game since the ’21 season

The Los Angeles Rams have not won a Monday Night Football game since their 2021 Super Bowl winning season. It was a definitive victory when they struck Arizona Cardinals with a final score of 34-11 to advance to the next round of the postseason. Since that game, LA has played four Monday night games and they have lost all of them.

2022:

Week 4: 24-9 loss to San Francisco 49ers

Week 15: 24-12 loss to Green Bay Packers

2023:

Week 3: 19-16 loss to Cincinnati Bengals

2024:

Week 10: 23-15 loss to Miami Dolphins

Wild-Card round mod Minnesota Vikings: TBD

So while Sean McVay is 1-0 in the Monday Night Playoffs, he has been 0-4 on Monday Night Football since that clutch win. If McVay and the Rams lose to the Vikings next game, then LA would have lost five straight Monday games. They would also be 0-2 in the playoffs since winning their Super Bowl a few seasons ago.

The Rams have checked a big box this year by winning the NFC West. If that’s all they hoped to achieve, mission accomplished, but if they aspire to more, they need to break their losing streak in games played on a Monday.

If they are able to pull off a win, they will end their Monday game losing streak while also starting a new playoff winning streak.

Not a bad opportunity for a team that started 1-4.
