Furman Falls At Wofford in SoCon Season Opener, 68-51

SPARTANBURG, SC – Evangelia Paulk scored 18 points and Wofford used hot 3-point shooting to cruise past Furman, 68-51, in Southern Conference women’s basketball season opener action Sunday afternoon at Richardson Indoor Stadium. The Terriers (9-5, 1-0 SoCon), who entered the contest shooting 28.6 percent from 3-point range, connected on 14-of-29 treys (48.3 percent) against the Paladins (10-7, 0-1 SoCon) ) cruised to victory. Paulk, who sank 3-of-5 triples to go along with 11 rebounds, led a trio of Wofford double-double scorers that included Helen Matthews with 16 points and Molly Masingale with 13.
