DJI, announces DJI Flip, a new series of all-in-one vlog camera drones. Flip comes in at less than 249g. The compact drone has foldable full-coverage propeller shields, which ensures an ultra-safe and reliable flight.

DJI says the DJI Flip combines the simplicity of the DJI Neo with the photography capabilities of the DJI Mini to make both aerial photography and close-ups accessible to everyone. DJI Flip combines creative tools like AI subject tracking and intelligent shooting modes with safety features like foldable propeller shields and automatic braking.

Made of lightweight and strong carbon fiber string, the protection’s support structure is only 1/60 the weight of protections made with traditional polycarbonate material, while maintaining the same stiffness and durability to ensure safe flights.

DJI Flip requires no special training in most countries and regions. The drone in the palm of your hand is lightweight and compact, making it an ideal travel companion for capturing any adventure. With a single press of the mode button, photographers can choose from six intelligent shooting modes to capture impressive shots. AI subject tracking can also keep a subject in the frame. Six intelligent shooting modes include Drone, Circle, Rocket, Spotlight, Helixand Boomerang.

DJI Flip can take highly dynamic 48MP images with more highlight and shadow detail. The camera is powered by a 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensor with Dual Native ISO Fusion, f/1.7 aperture and 2.4μm 4-in-1 pixels. It can also take pictures with up to 4x zoom. Intricate details can be preserved with next-generation SmartPhoto, which combines HDR images, scene recognition and more for pop photos.

DJI Flip records HDR video in 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. It also supports slow-motion recording at 4K/100fps and 10-bit D-Log M color mode. A 4:3 format CMOS sensor provides enough room for vertical crops while maintaining 2.7k resolution, optimized for smartphone viewing and social media without the need for cropping.

  • Master Shots: Allows DJI Flip to automatically perform various camera movements, record multiple clips and edit them with music, clips and effects for fast and simplified cinematic shooting.
  • Hyperlapse: Choose from four options including Free, Circle, Course Lock and Waypoint to capture timelapse footage in up to 4K horizontally or 2.7K vertically.
  • Focus Track: Find creative ways to follow your subject with FocusTrack. The package includes ActiveTrack 4.0, Spotlight 2.0 and Point of Interest 3.0, three powerful storytelling tools.
  • Panorama: Supports shooting 180°, wide-angle, vertical and spherical panoramic images to capture magnificent landscapes.
