Walmart Unveils ‘Comprehensive Brand Update’ Monday, the company says, reflects its “evolution as a people-led, technology-driven omnichannel retailer.”

According to a press release, the updated branding will “better represent who Walmart is today.” The company said some of the key features of the brand update include a wordmark inspired by Sam Walton’s classic trucker hat and brought to life with a “modern, custom typeface that sets Walmart apart from the crowd.”

In addition, the sparkle “radiates Walmart’s energy” and the color palette “leans on the retailer’s most recognizable tones and its heritage of blue while ushering in new updates to keep the brand fresh,” the company said.

Walmart said it will begin applying the revamped branding across various channels and customer touchpoints, including its website, app and stores, in January 2025. The retailer said the process began rolling out in October 2024, and the remaining stores will continue to be redesigned over time.
