Ex ‘Hollyoaks’ & ‘Love Island’ Star was 46

Paul Danan, a former Hollyoaks star, has died at the age of 46. He died earlier today, management confirmed in a press release.

A statement from Independent Creative Management said: “It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the passing of @pauldanan aged just 46. Known for his television presence, exceptional talent and unwavering kindness, Paul was a beacon of light for so many.”

They added: “His untimely passing will leave irreplaceable voids in the lives of all who knew him. At this difficult time, we kindly ask for respect and privacy for Paul’s family, friends and colleagues. No further comment will be made at this time.” time.”

Born in 1978, Danan landed his first acting gig aged just 19, playing lovable rogue Sol Patrick in Channel 4’s Hollyoaks. He was one of the big stars in it Hollyoaks era where he played a bad boy with a history of homelessness and a temper that got him into trouble. He left the show in 2001.

Danan also starred in CBBC’s The Queen’s nose.

He then appeared as a celebrity contestant in the first season of the ITV original Celebrity Love Island and was also on Celebrity Big Brother.

He discussed drug addiction about The Jeremy Kyle Show several years back.

He is the other ex-Hollyoaks star to die within a week. Diane Langton, who played Marlena McQueen, died yesterday aged 77.
