Is Capital One Down? Users report deposit issues on Thursday

Capital One users reported problems receiving their deposits Thursday morning, leaving many customers wondering where their money and paychecks are.

Complaints on social media poured in via @AskCapitalOne customer service account at X, formerly Twitter.

“What’s going on with business checking accounts?” asked an X user Wednesday evening. “Customer service told me everything should work in about 2 hours and it’s been going on for 3 hours now but nothing has been resolved. Full account + money not showing up!”

Capital One responded and said the company was working to fix the issue.

According to Down Detector, an online database that logs out is over 2,000 people had reported problems with Capital One banking services at 8 Thursday morning.

Another X user said they had been waiting 24 hours for their direct deposit with no resolution.

“We know it’s important to have your money when you need it, so we apologize for the inconvenience this causes,” Capital One responded.

USA TODAY has reached out to Capital One for more information.

On Wednesday, Citibank said its app was experiencing technical issues after hundreds of customers reported receiving scam messages and problems accessing their accounts.
