Blackhawks at Predators — Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

Perhaps the two busiest teams in free agency last summer were the Blackhawks and Predators. The hawks were looking for placeholders; The Preds were trying to win a championship. The Blackhawks are dead last in the standings. The Preds are third in the draft order today.

There’s plenty of firepower on the other side tonight. And they have some good defensive centers to handle the Blackhawks’ youth. The Preds’ record stinks, but this is a dangerous team.

Damage report

Chicago Blackhawks

  • Laurent Brossoit (knee) and Connor Murphy (groin) is on IR. Craig Smith (back) is day-to-day.

Nashville Predators

  • Jeremy Lauzon, Cole Smith and Adam Wilsby are on IR. Luke Evangelista is out.

What to look for

  • The Blackhawks were terrible in their last game. Many more words about efforts. Let’s see it.
  • Bedard has only had one pointless game in his last 11. How about he keeps rolling tonight?
  • The Hawks will have to keep an eye on the oft-suspended L’Heureux. He’s the one who cheaply punched Dach in the head and gave him a concussion last year. Dirty player.
