Captial One Issuing Direct Deposits Today: Is Capital One Down?

Capital One continues to experience technical issues affecting account services, deposits and payment processing, according to a post on his X account.

The financial company has updated users on social media after reported problems receiving direct deposits as early as Wednesday evening. Thousands were still reporting problems on Friday, January 17 downdetector.comwith more than 3,000 reports that Capital One is down.

Most reported issues, around 90%, were direct deposit issues.

“We are actively working with the vendor to resolve the issue and restore services and apologize for the inconvenience,” Capital One wrote on X.

Complaints on social media poured in on the account.

“What’s going on with business checking accounts?” asked an X user Wednesday evening. “Customer service told me everything should work in about 2 hours and it’s been going on for 3 hours now but nothing has been resolved. Full account + money not showing up!”

Among the customers and services affected were deposits and payment processing for some consumers, small businesses and commercial banks, Capital One said. The company said it is working with the supplier to resolve the issue.

When will Capital One be fixed?

The company has said it is working with a third-party vendor to resolve the issue.

The affected third-party supplier is FIS Global, according to CNNa provider of financial technical services to a number of major banks, including Capital One.

The company did not immediately respond to CNN’s request for comment, CNN reported.
