Ryan Seacrest was in high spirits when a Wheel of Fortune the contestant got a funny wrong answer when trying to solve a puzzle.

The blunder occurred during the triple throw round on Thursday 16 January. All the riddles contained the words “a case of it” and the first two were quickly solved. Alabama-based flag football lineman Angela Johnson kicked things off by correctly guessing “A case of the jitters” to snag $2,000.

Next, Ada Vega, a crochet enthusiast from St. Cloud, Florida, tied as she unraveled the answer “A case of the giggles.”

But it was the third round that brought the laughs for fans and Seacrest.

When the board revealed the letters “A / _ ASE / _ F / _ H _ / M _ N _ _ _ S,” Vega buzzed in and delivered his best take: “A case of the munchies.”

While the answer was certainly memorable, it was also wrong.

Brooklynite and pro-wrestling fan Frank Mantesana eventually determined the correct answer, “A Case of the Mondays.”

But Vegas’ blunder still cracked Seacrest, and he let loose: “I’m going to have a case of the giggles after your comment there, and I have a few follow-up questions for you, Ada, after the show,” a laughing Seacrest joked, before he advanced to the next round.

While Vega’s hopes of taking home the series’ big winner went up in smoke — that honor went to Mantesana — she’ll likely be remembered as a fan favorite.

Seacrest, 50, who began hosting Wheel of Fortune in September, after Pat Sajak retired, he is already collecting unforgettable moments on the job. Just one day before Vegas’ “munchies” mistake, Seacrest was almost knocked over by an enthusiastic contestant celebrating a big win.
