Jets superstar wide receiver would love to play for Steelers: ‘I love Mike Tomlin’

New York Jets wide receiver Davante Adams has an uncertain future with the Jets, given that Aaron Rodgers could leave the team, and that has Adams considering his options. When asked if he would play for Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, Adams says he emphatically would love to play for Tomlin.

“100 percent, I love Mike. Anytime you have a coach that’s a player’s coach and you can tell they have a way with their guys … those kind of coaches always win me over. I haven’t had nothing but respect for him and it has been mutual,” Aams said.

When Adams requested a trade out of Las Vegas, the Steelers were heavily involved in the trade rumors. They tried to land him, but the jets provided the necessary capital for their pursuit.

Now the Steelers could have a chance to land Adams again this offseason. Adams is 32 years old, but still plays at a high level. He had 1,063 receiving yards between the two teams and can still put up monster numbers despite the struggles around him.

With the Steelers’ need at wide receiver, Adams could be someone they look to land. If Rodgers is out in New York, however, Adams can follow Rodgers or join Derek Carr wherever he is. Regardless, the Jets may very well move on from Adams, and if they do, the Steelers will likely be involved.
