Fire breaks out near Pasadena after various fires ravaged LA County’s western neighborhoods

As firefighters worked around the clock to respond to the massive fire in Pacific Palisades, another fire broke out in LA County — this time near Pasadena.

The “Eaton fire” was first reported near Altadena Drive and Midwick Drive shortly after 1 p.m. 6:15 p.m. on January 7 near the Altadena-Pasadena area. At last check, the fire spread to 200 acres with 0% containment, according to Cal Fire.

Tuesday at 19, officials did not say whether the fire had caused damage to nearby buildings or homes in the area.
