For the second time this season, Celtics forward Jayson Tatum has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week.

Tatum is the first NBA player this season to win multiple Eastern Player of the Week awards after earning the first weekly honor of the 2024-2025 roster on Oct. 28.

Tatum received his honor for the week of December 30-January 5, averaging 25.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. fight in that stretch. The Celtics went 3-1 over those four games, beating the Raptors, Timberwolves and Rockets.

Tatum’s best game of the best week came against Minnesota on Jan. 2, where the forward recorded 33 points (6-17 3FG), nine assists, eight rebounds and three steals in what was a 118-115 victory.

The 26-year-old forward became just the second NBA player this season and the second player in Celtics history to post at least nine assists, eight rebounds, six three-pointers and three steals in a single game, joining Antoine Walker.

This is Tatum’s 12th NBA Player of the Week honor, tied for third in Celtics history behind Paul Pierce (17) and Larry Bird (15).
