Will Caddo and Bossier schools be open Thursday? Here’s what you need to know

Both Caddo and Bossier Parish school districts will remain open on Thursday, January 9th.

The National Weather Service issued a winter storm watch and warning for northern Louisiana on January 8. It said the storm is expected to affect the northern region of Ark-La-Tex, specifically southwest Arkansas and northeast Texas, beginning around 1 p.m. 06.00. 9.

Caddo and Bossier Parish school districts released statements Jan. 8 saying schools will remain open Thursday following the latest forecast information from the NWS.

According to both school districts, all after-school classes will be postponed until a later date.

“The district will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and will provide an update to stakeholders Thursday afternoon regarding any potential closures for Friday,” Caddo Parish Schools said.
