The UConn men’s basketball team overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to defeat Providence by a score of 87-84 on Sunday.

Hassan Diarra was UConn’s leading scorer in the game against Providence, scoring 19 points. UConn’s Solo Ball and Aidan Mahaney added 16 points and 15 points, respectively, in that contest.

The UConn men’s basketball team was ranked ninth in the latest AP pollwhich was released on Monday. The Huskies moved up two spots from the previous rankings released on Dec. 30. Tennessee and Auburn are currently ranked one and two.
