Kat Dennings Tells Whoopi Goldberg She Lived By Her “I Don’t Want Nobody In My House” Quote Before Marriage

Like Whoopi Goldbergactress Cat Denningseven in the midst of her marriage to a musician Andrew WKdo doesn’t want anyone in her house.

The upcoming Change gears star joined The view on Tuesday morning to discuss her life and career. During a question from cohost Sarah Haines about her decision to get married in 2023, Dennings admitted that her philosophy on relationships stems from a legendary 2016 quote from Goldberg.

“It’s the worst. It’s the worst, isn’t it? It’s horrible,” the performer said of navigating pre-marriage life. “I was in a few long relationships and I tried dating a bit, it was just a nightmare. I actually live by a quote of yours, Whoopi. Correct me if this is the wrong quote, but I looked it up to mourn for: I don’t want anyone in my house.”

“Yep, that’s it. Definitely nailed it,” Haines said as the co-hosts laughed.

Dennings added that the quote initially guided her perspective on relationships, but her marriage to WK has since changed her mind.

“That (was) my feelings toward marriage in general until I met my husband,” Dennings said. “And now I like him in my house. I want him in my house!”

Earlier in the discussion, panelist Joy Behar offered Dennings some bedroom advice by suggesting she listen to audiobooks “during sex” after the actress revealed she read over 30 books by 2024. Goldberg then told her to listen to more audio recordings to cram in even more material into 2025.
