Amazon Prime will air an NFL playoff game for the first time in 2025, leaving NFL fans with a burning question.

Will there be a “Thursday Night Football” game during the 2025 NFL playoffs?

While Amazon Prime’s broadcast almost always takes place on Thursdays during the regular season – with the exception of the streaming giant’s Black Friday match in week 13 – that won’t be the case during the NFL postseason.

Here’s what you need to know about the NFL’s playoff schedule and whether there will be a game Thursday night.

Is there a Thursday Night Football game tonight?

There won’t be a “Thursday Night Football” game during the NFL playoffs — at least not one played on Thursday.

Amazon’s season-long slate of Thursday primetime games ended then Seattle Seahawks earned one 6-3 victory over Chicago Bears in Week 17. Another NFL game will not be played on Thursday until the 2025 regular season opens in September.

That said, Amazon’s “TNF” team will have one more show left in their season. Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit and Kaylee Hartung will be on the call Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers match on Saturday 11 January at 8 p.m. ET.

Those looking to watch any kind of football on Thursday can tune in to the Orange Bowl between Penn State and Notre Dame. The College Football Playoff semifinals begin at 7:30 PM ET and airs on ESPN.
