Rockmart High Football Coach, Husband of Polk Superintendant, emerges as top candidate for Head Cedartown Football Coach job

Rockmart High School Assistant Head Football Coach Jonathan Thomas has emerged as a top candidate to replace departing Cedartown High School football coach Jamie Abrams.

Abrams, who was removed from his position last week after leading the Bulldog program to a 50-12 record over the past five seasons.

The Bulldog program ended 2^n.d in the region over the past two seasons after making it to the state championship game.

Abrams was also 3-1 against county rival Rockmart.

Abrams was demoted to elementary school teacher last week after being told the team would “take a different direction.”
