Traffic stop lands Rome man in jail on felony charges

Matthew Lee Gresham, 46, of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with methamphetamine during a traffic stop for an expired license plate.

Police said a K9 officer alerted the car during the stop and a search was conducted.

The search resulted in police finding a glass smoking pipe containing the meth residue.

Gresham is charged with possession of meth, possession of drug-related objects and operating an unregistered vehicle.
