After shaking up the starting 5 and finally getting a healthy Big 3, the Suns are winners of four of five. They will look to keep the momentum going when they travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks, who are on the opposite court with a 1-4 record over their last five.

My Suns vs. Hawks predictions expect Devin Booker to continue to facilitate at a high level. Read my NBA picks to see why you should take Over on his assists tonight.

Suns vs Hawks prediction

My best bet
Devin Booker Over 7.5 assists (+100 at bet365)

My analysis

For the second straight season, Devin Booker is averaging 6.9 assists his career-high in that category. Booker has at least eight assists in just 14 of 33 games this season, but he’s been on a roll lately and I’m happy to take over here.

Since returning from an extended layoff, Booker has averaged 8.9 assists in seven games and has gone six times. That includes three games with double-digit assists, including a season-high 12 dimes.

On the season, the Atlanta Hawks have allowed the third-most assists to opponents, including the second-most to shooting guards. Over the last 10, Atlanta has allowed the most assists overall, and over the last 15, the Hawks have allowed the most assists to SGs. Atlanta has the sixth-worst defensive rating (116.6) over its last 10 games.

The Phoenix Suns have been good at sharing the ball this season, and the Suns are seventh in assist ratio at 19.8. Over the last seven games, the Suns are tied for the highest assist ratio at 21.3.

Booker gets a phenomenal matchup and I fully expect him to continue his heater as a playmaker. Getting this prop for even money is just the cherry on top.

Suns vs Hawks parlay in same game

bet365 logo

Devin Booker Over 7.5 assists

Onyeka Okongwu Over 6.5 rebounds

Kevin Durant Over 24.5 points

Onyeka Okongwu has averaged eight boards across his last five and hit Over at that line four times. Not surprisingly, Okongwu has played four of those five without Jalen Johnson. Johnson is sidelined again tonight and Okongwu will face a Suns team that has allowed the fourth-most rebounds and most offensive rebounds across its last eight with Mason Plumlee starting at center. Okongwu’s rebound line is set at 8.5, but I’m happy to take the safer alt line and add it to this parlay.

Kevin Durant’s scoring line is set at 27.5, and like Okongwu, I’d rather take the alt line for shorter odds. Durant has scored at least 25 points in 19 of 28 games this season, but he has scored 28 or more just 12 times. Atlanta has given up 119.8 points per game (28th) this season, but the Hawks’ defense has been particularly vulnerable over the past five, allowing 125 points in that span. Durant should have no problem clearing this line.
