Kerins makes NHL debut

Former Rapid City Rush forward Rory Kerins stayed 757th former ECHL player to reach the National Hockey League when he made his debut with the Calgary Flames on Monday in Chicago.

Kerin’s is the one fifth former ECHL player to make his NHL debut during the 2024-25 season. He had 37 points (17g-20a) in 38 games with the Rush in the 2022-23 season.

Selected by the Flames in the sixth round (174th overall) of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft, Kerins leads the American Hockey League with 21 goals and is fourth with 34 points in 34 games this season. He has amassed 68 points (38g-30a) in 98 career AHL games with Calgary and Stockton.
