Fabian Schar sat out the win over Wolves due to illness but could return to the side at centre-back. Martin Dubravka is likely to keep his place in goal, although Nick Pope is nearing his return to action.

Harvey Barnes and Jamaal Lascelles remain in the treatment room for the Magpies, while Callum Wilson will also miss the clash against his former side. The 32-year-old featured in just 58 minutes in the Premier League this season due to injuries.
