Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman took the “sporty look” to a whole new level as he sat in the front row of Donald Trump’s second inauguration wearing shorts, sneakers and his trademark hooded sweatshirt.

Fetterman, known for his laid-back style and laid-back demeanor, braved the DC cold in gray basketball shorts, but seemed comfortable in this, his hands in his black hoodie. The 55-year-old stood out among other men in the rotunda, which included Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and former presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, who wore suits and ties.

Fetterman has made waves in the Democratic Party as he has taken a more moderate stance on border issues and has declared strong support for Israel. He has also been open about his willingness to work with Trump and Republicans in the new administration, saying he would meet with the new president at Mar-a-Lago.

The Trump women went understated and glam in monochromatic looks, including Ivanka Trump in forest green, Melania Trump in navy and Ivanka’s 13-year-old daughter Arabella Rose Kushner in camel.

Online discussion of inauguration fashion included talk of Melania’s “funeral look” and wide-brimmed hat that hid her eyes, and the lacy white camisole or bra peeking under a white blazer on Lauren Sánchez, fiancee of Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos.
