Pistons vs. Rockets GameThread: Game Time, TV, Odds and more

Detroit begins a five-game road trip with a tough test against Houston Rockets for an afternoon of MLK Day basketball. The Rockets play suffocating defense, are on the move as a team and have the kind of offensive weapons that tend to give the Pistons passes in Alperen Sengun and some savvy veteran shooters. It’s also a night when Jalen Green, who is becoming more consistent offensively, can explode.

The Pistons will need to take care of the basketball and get a better shooting performance from star guard Cade Cunningham. His shot looked particularly flat in the team’s loss to Phoenix Sunsand he has struggled a bit. A bounceback game could go a long way in getting Detroit back in the win column and not falling below .500.
