Notre Dame used some tricks to keep his national championship alive.

Down 31-15 with less than five minutes left in the College Football Playoff national championship game against Ohio StateNotre Dame needed a touchdown quickly to keep any hope alive, and it Fighting Irish got it with a big pass from Riley Leonard to Jaden Greathouse for an incredible 30-yard touchdown strike.

Now up 31-21, Notre Dame needed to convert the two-point conversion to make it a one-score game and maintain a realistic shot at victory. On the play, Leonard threw it back to receiver Jordan Faison for the end-around play. He looked like he was dead, but he threw the ball to a wide open Beaux Collins in the back of the end zone for the conversion.

The score made it a 31-23 game and gave the Fighting Irish a chance to mount a comeback.
