When will new episodes be released?

Press a random button on your TV remote and I bet a spy drama will start playing on the screen. The subgenre is everywhere today. From Netflix Black Pigeons and The night agent for Prime Videos ReacherApple TV+ Slow horsesand the Paramounts Lioness– every streamer wants a piece of the action. Audiences love a good espionage thriller, but almost every series feels indistinguishable from the other. It is there The agency comes in.

It turns out to boost one of those CIA dramas with a cast including Michael Fassbender (The killer), Jeffrey Wright (American fiction), Jodie Turner-Smith (After Yang), Richard Gere (Oh, Canada), and John Magaro (September 5) can really do a lot for the genre. So does a plot that doesn’t send your main characters on a wildly good hunt. There’s only so much I can take from plots that go like this: Fin a hard drive, which contains a video file that goes all the way up to the vice president who… Oh no, they’re going to assassinate the president! You know the drill. Fortunately, The agency is a much more elaborate drama.

The story follows a spy named Brandon (Fassbender), who is suddenly pulled out of a mission in Sudan after living undercover for six years. The CIA plans to suspend his mission and promote him to a senior case officer position in London, given all the good work he has done in Africa. Still, six years is a long time. When Brandon returns, he struggles to adjust. He also tries to maintain a relationship with the woman (Turner-Smith) he fell in love with while undercover. Who can he trust in this crazy world of double agents and false identities?

The agency also slams the door down at the beginning of each episode with a Jack White cover of U2’s “Love Is Blindness”. So many shows today just flash the title over a black screen and call it a day. The agency know the power of a good title sequence. If you couldn’t already tell, it’s a must-watch.

How can I see The agency?

The agency now streaming on Paramount+ with Showtime. You can even watch the first two episodes for free without a subscription. After that, the series will stream new episodes weekly every Friday through January 24, 2025.

Here is the more complicated part. Very happy Yellowjackets, the curse, and the future Dexter prequel, there is a higher subscription level for select shows. So you need to subscribe to Paramount+ with the Showtime tier ($12.99/month), which is just a bit more expensive than the regular Paramount+ subscription ($7.99/month).

The agency episodes are also released on different days depending on whether you stream the series or watch Showtime on cable. To help figure out the full release schedule, check out the official dates below.
