Fortnite’s new event, Titan Takedown, introduces Godzilla to the island. Starting January 17, players can transform into the giant creature and complete special quests for rewards.

The Fortnite Titan Takedown event begins at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 14:00 GMT on Friday, January 17, 2025. Portals will appear during matches allowing players to transform into Godzilla. Once transformed, players can roam the map as the iconic creature.

The event will continue until Chapter 6, Season 1 ends on February 21, 2025. During this time, players can participate in Godzilla-themed quests and earn rewards. These quests provide a unique gaming experience as part of the Fortnite event.

Fortnite players will not experience any downtime before the event. The required updates were included in the 33.20 update on January 14th. This ensures that players can join the event as soon as it starts.

What can you expect

Kong will not be in the initial phase of the Titan Takedown event. Despite fans expecting a Godzilla vs. Kong crossover, there is no indication of Kong’s presence in the current plans. However, the possibility of Kong being added later remains. A Kong skin is already available in the game store. Developers may announce new updates that allow players to transform into Kong.
