West Brom’s stance on transfers revealed

West Brom will only entertain reasonable bids for Tom Fellows and Josh Maja in the winter transfer window, according to Express & Star.

The news outlet reports (January 8) that while the Baggies could sanction their departures, they will not accept below market value fees.

Premier League clubs are reportedly keeping an eye on Fellows and Maja, but The Albion will only accept offers they deem acceptable.

Shilen Patel wants to bring parity to the Black Country outfit in terms of Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), but doesn’t need to sell players to do it.

West Brom to keep Tom Fellows and Josh Maja

Fellows and Maja have been two of the standouts at The Hawthorns this season and their sale in January should not be entertained.

The 21-year-old homegrown talent broke into the first team in the previous campaign and has gone from strength to strength.

With 10 assists in the Championship this season, the England Under-21 international has been influential for the Baggies.

West Brom have also relied on Maja to consistently find the back of the net for them, with the Nigerian scoring 12 in the league this term.

With a £5m bid accepted for Middlesbrough striker Isaiah Jones though (Lyall Thomas), nerves are undoubtedly kicking in.

With the uncertainty surrounding the manager, the Black Country club seemingly cannot afford to let go of two of their best players.

Owners Bilkul Fodbold will do well to hold on to Fellows and Maja in the coming weeks.

In other West Brom news, a new manager is expected to be in the dugout against Stoke.
