NFL Playoffs Live Chat: Divisional Round Saturday, Texans at Chiefs, Commanders at Lions

The divisional round of NFL playoffs begins on Saturday, and after a bye during the Wild Card round, both No. 1 seed to host their first playoff games in the 2024-25 postseason.

Things start with AFC no. 4 Houston Texas travels to Missouri to take on AFC No. 1 Kansas City Chiefs 4:30 PM ET on ESPN, followed by NFC No. 6 Washington’s commanders accepts NFC no. 1 Detroit Lions at Ford Field at 8 PM ET on FOX.

While the Chiefs are coming off a bye week, the Texans needed to hit Chargers in the Wild Card round to get to this stage. Unfortunately, they haven’t had much playoff success at Arrowhead, losing both of their previous playoff games at this location in 2015 and 2019. Additionally, the Texans played at Kansas City in Week 16, and the Chiefs won 27-19.

The winner of this game advances to AFC Championship game, which will be played on Sunday, January 26 at 6:30 PM ET on CBS.


Commanders at Lions

Detroit also had a bye last week while Washington needed to hit Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round. This was the Commanders’ first playoff win since 2005. The Lions and Commanders have met three times in their playoff history, with Washington winning all three back in 1982, 1991 and 1999. This will be the first time these teams have met. in the postseason in Detroit and will offer the Lions another opportunity to vanquish their demons with a win.

The winner of this game advances to NFC Championship match, which will be played on Sunday, January 26 at 3 PM ET on FOX.
